Tom Martin is an experienced journalist and a key member of the 1919 Magazine editorial team. He covers Scottish policing, crime, courts, prisons, and government justice policy. Tom is also an account director at Quantum Communications.

Before joining Quantum in 2022, he spent seven years as political editor at the Scottish Daily Express, reporting from the Scottish Parliament. He has also managed digital news teams, led live coverage, and held senior editorial roles, including executive news editor at the Scottish Daily Express and news editor at the Scottish Sunday Express.

Tom began his journalism career at The Shields Gazette and has worked at Scotland on Sunday and the Press Team Scotland news agency.
